On 27 September 2016, Research Academy of Grand Health Ningbo University invited professor Shull to give students and teachers of Faculty of Physical Education Ningbo University an academy lecture:” Novel Foot Progression Angle Algorithm Estimation via Foot-Worn, Magneto-Inertial Sensing”. Associate Professor Yaodong Gu, Associate Director of Research Academy of Grand Health Ningbo University, hosted the lecture. Professor Shull received a Ph.D. from Stanford University in Mechanical Engineering (majoring in Real-Time Sensing/Feedback, Human Movement Training, Biomechanics). Peter Shull’s research laboratory seeks to analyse and train human movement. There were two parts of this lecture: smart shoes using in injury prevention; measurement of cyrtosis during walking and running. Professor Shull introduced a proposes a novel foot progression angle estimation algorithm based on a single integrated sensor unit, consisting of an accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer, worn on the foot. During the lecture, professor Shull and students discussed with great sense.

After lecture, professor Shull visited the labs of Research Academy of Grand Health Ningbo University and communicated with teachers and students.
